Suga of BTS fame brings his latest world tour to the big screen with the release of a concert film in theaters on April 10.

Who said the ladies of pop music get to have all the theater releases? BigHit Music announced (March 13) that Suga, also known as Agust D, member of K-pop sensation BTS, will bring his world tour to the big screen worldwide on April 10 — “Suga | Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ the Movie,” a film capturing the tour’s finale in Seoul.

The film will play in CGV chain theaters in South Korea, as well as various cinemas worldwide, although specific countries in which it will be shown have not yet been announced.

Suga’s “D-Day” tour hit 10 cities around the world with 25 concerts from April to June 2023, drawing 290,000 fans, and culminating in a three-day encore concert in Seoul where he saw an additional 38,000 fans. The film captures the encore concert’s “electrifying atmosphere,” according to a statement from BigHit Music.

In particular, the film will be screened in IMAX theaters — a first for a BTS concert film — offering fans an immersive experience with the show. Viewers can expect Suga’s solo performances, as well as duets with bandmates RM, Jimin, and Jungkook.

Around this time last year, Suga had sold out the entire US leg of his tour during Ticketmaster’s first “ARMY Members Presale,” which led to the cancellation of the General Verified Fan Presale and General On-Sale.

The Agust D Tour, named for Suga’s other stage persona, made him the first BTS member to embark on a solo world tour in the face of the group’s hiatus.

Due to South Korea’s conscription laws, members of the group are currently serving their mandatory military service, which began last year. As this mandatory service lasts around two years, BTS is set to reconvene as a group sometime in late 2025.
